Busy!!!!!

Things have been very busy around here. We are trying to get things all set up for when Hubby goes down to Georgia for training for his new job. One week. That's right, we have only one week to get a lot done. Good news is, he will only be down there for one week. Then, after the holidays, he will be going back down there for around 7 to 11 more weeks.

I will be holding down the fort. I don't mind the one week, but I'm not looking forward to the 7 to 11 weeks. I guess winter would be the best time for him to go though.  The only thing I have to do during the winter is take care of the animals and feed the stove some wood. Hopefully he will be able to cut enough wood to last the winter. It's been cold!Since it has been this cold so soon in the season, we are really going though wood.

I was going to take some pictures of the little goaties in the snow, but my camera froze up. Yep, it wouldn't do anything! I don't blame it, I didn't want to do anything in the cold either. When I brought it back in, it finally thawed out. hehehehe.

Well, today I'm going to have a Christmas type of day. I'm putting up the Christmas tree and making Christmas cookies. Since I can take pictures inside, I'll get some pictures of the tree and cookies and maybe give out some recipes.

So until next time,

Small Farm Girl, Busy.

You can view the one week as the trial run adn see what needs to be done before he leaves again!

It's nice yo're getting your tree up. We have three puppies and are afraid what will happen while we're not home! Let's see more pictures, especially of your goats. Maybe keep your comeara in your shirt and whip it out at the last minute so it won't freeze lol!

Don't fret too much about about being a one-woman band... barring any unforeseen catastrophes, it's usually pretty smooth sailing.

My husband has been working out of town for about three months now and home on weekends. That's when I put him to work. :)

I think I'll be baking some cranberry nut bread tomorrow -- hope everything goes well for you.

We're actually enjoying a heat wave, of sorts, our highs being into the high 30'sF to mid 40'sF !

You are to organized, we haven't put up our tree yet, hoping to this weekend nor have we made any goodies. I'm tryin to hold off, so I'm NOT tempted to eat them and gain weight. We seriously cut back on what we'll be baking too, none of us NEED it, LOL!!!!

I'm sure you'll miss your hubby but you'll enjoy when he comes home too*wink*

Blessings for your week!

Your poor camera. I think I'm froze up, too.

I love days like that, good to be inside and creating beautiful things.

That is nice that the training is landing in winter. Have you got something like Skype video chat so you guys can video chat every day when he's gone?

hello there! I just found your blog. I have a farm, but don't nearly have as many animals as you. There's always so much to do before the holidays. and your hubby will be gone to GA! At least he'll be coming home in the middle, before heading back out. I spent many weeks down in GA in a federal training facility there - I love GA. I feel for you being alone and running the farm by yourself while he's gone!
