Dear Mr. Rabbit

Dear Mr Rabbit,

I want to start this letter off on a good note and say that I really appreciate you helping me fertilize my garden. Your manure really helps my plants thrive. Although you are helping out, I really wished that you would stop burrowing through my beans and making tunnels through them.

I also wished that you would at least leave me SOME beans to eat myself. I mean, I did buy the seeds and plant them. Without me, you wouldn't have all of the yummy beans that you have been snacking on. If you would like to snack on something, would you please snack on the weeds that are growing (thriving) along side of the beans. But, if you HAVE to snack on the beans, could you please eat all of the bean. I mean, when you just take a bite out of a bean, it ruins it all. I can't use the rest of it.

I know that you are a smart animal or you wouldn't have made your home where you have an abundant amount of food. I understand that you really like the beans and that there seems to be a lot of them, but if you keep eating them, there will be none to can.

I don't want to take drastic measures when it comes to your presents in my garden. But, if things do not change, I will have too.

So once again to make myself clear...STOP EATING MY BEANS!!!!!

Thank you for your support.

So until next time,

Small Farm Girl, human animal resources.

Aw man! Pesky rabbit! We had one of those, he was SO cute. We ended up encouraging our dogs to "take their break" around where the rabbit was feeding and Thumper went away! or a Fox got him I'm not sure, but no more rabbit issues.

LOL Mr. MacGregor's garden.

It really would be nice if they'd pick a bean and fill up on it, rather than just nibble at a lot of them. :oP

Mine are deer. I planted bush beans last year, and they ended up bush sticks! No beans, no leaves, nada!

You try to love nature, and then it steals your beans! Poo!

The NERVE of that rabbit!!! Eating and nibbling on YOUR beans! Heavenly Day!! What is that silly thing thinking of?! Where are the dogs?? Dont they know it's their duty to keep the rabbits out of the garden??? Good Grief! Perhaps a few firecrackers thrown in the garden will scare him/her/family away!...debbie

Rabbits ate a lot of my beets this year. They also like the lettuce in the fall when everything else turns brown.
