Again

I have tried and tried to come up with something to blog about today. Nothing exciting has happened around here. We got 12 eggs today. It rained, again. The dog barked out the window at something that I couldn't see, again. We caught a mouse in the mouse trap, I threw it out in the pasture and Skeeter(my wiener dog) brought it back and laid it on the sidewalk for us to step on, again. I stepped in dog poop, again. (Don't even get me started on that) I looked at the dirty dishes and decided to do them tomorrow, again. I set on the couch and watched tv, again. I fixed veggie soup, again. So you see, nothing exciting has happened around here today, again.

Oh wait, I did make some French bread today. It came out pretty good. Looks like I'm going to have to make it.........again. Hehehehehe.

So until next time,

Small Farm Girl,again.

Hey! It's the small things in life that make life more interesting. The bread sounds great! The dead mouse and dog poo we can live without though. hehe!

Honestly to me it sound like the best kind of day. I love a day when I can just take it all in. I have dead mice and dog poop issues here too lol!! I like you blog border.

I agree with Lisa, the small day to day things are what keeps life interesting. Land sakes I do not like mice-alive or in traps!

It took me about a month to figure out how to set mouse traps correctly. My life as a city girl has done nothing to prepare me for this kind of lifestyle. We have a garden shed in the backyard, and it houses all the chicken feed and extra bedding, so I figured it was like a gold-plated invitation to rodent infestations. So far, no one is leaving any evidence, and I have yet to find any victims in my traps.

Hey! maybe your in a winter rut? I think I am too. You just need to get up and do those dishes and hop in the car and do something...anything....I need to do the same...debbie P.S. the men are here putting in my bathroom floor!!!! yeaaaa!

I think Debbie has a good point. Winter sometimes makes me lethargic. That's when I have to get up offa my butt and just go "do" something. Even a trip to the library makes for a get out of the house day!
I will apologize for laughing at your unfortunate poo incident and then giggle again!

Well our life is so.... exciting that I've been posting newsletter articles*wink* I am planning on posting a tutorial on rendering lard, processing a pig and making sausage but.... first I have to get it all done this weekend and next week*sigh*

Our dogs INSIST on pooing under our clothesline, they have the whole place to go, but no they just HAVE to go there and guess what I step in it! the only thing that stinks worse than stepping in dog poo is cat poo, YUCK!
Blessings for your weekend SFG! BTW, since you have so much time on your hands*wink* where's that letter you promised, LOL!

One day will be CRAZY and you'll miss these dull, "again" days. Tell the dog to leave the mouse in the field, and deposit his poop there too while he's at it!

I hear you, during the winter it's really hard to find exciting things to blog about, but everyday life though some times boring holds real truths. God Bless!

Hi! First, I just want to say it was such a funny way I came upon your blog! I am a wannabe farmgirl. I read up all I can find, blogs, books. I dream about someday having a backyard garden and goats and chickens. Well I was jumping from blog to blog about a month ago and happened upon yours. I was really enjoying it. Then I came upon "South Shore". I stop and laugh. This is where I am from! A lot of my family lives there and right across the river from where I had just begun a newspaper reporting job in Portsmouth! Anyhow, I thought that perhaps you might be the best person to ask this question- do you know of any rentals in South Shore or around the area for a gal like me? I'd love a little farmhouse or just, well, anything! If you can think of anything, please please please let me know! I love your blog and hope to learn a little bit through it! It's great! If you could just email me at majalperry@gmail.com that would be so so appreciated!
