New Addition, Again.

Yep, a cat. We got a cat. I didn't think of myself as a cat person. I mean, I like peoples cats. But, I like them at THEIR house. But this little cutie just NEEDED me.

You see, he has feline lukimia so he can't be with other cats without infecting them. He also can get sick from other cats because his imune system is weak.  So, me being a softy, decided he could stay with us. (I'm so weak.)  It has been a couple weeks now and he has settled in. The only problem is, we really don't have a name for him. I mean, I call him Kitty all the time, but I don't want that to be his name. I WAS going to call him Mr. Meow-gi, (get it, from Karate Kid fame?) but Hubby didn't like it. So I am going to ask my creative followers to help me come up with a name for him. Any suggestions?

So until next time,

Small Farm Girl, sucker.

Looks like the cat I had a long time ago. She was the best cat ever. Her name was Gus. So I pick Gus!

Aww...he's a handsome kitty. You are wonderful for taking him in, it's hard to find homes for cats that test positive. We've been lucky with all(10)of the strays/rescues that now have a permanent home with us. They all tested negative.

About 20 years ago in some irrigation pipes, we found a little stray blk/wht female cat, she was patterned like a Holstein cow. So we named her Mitzi Holstein. I know Mitzi won't work as a name for a male cat. :)

It looks like he has a kind of rocker look going on with the guy-liner and the black markings on his head kind of resemble hair parted in the middle. What about Rebel?

You'll come up with something, Catman swears that the cats will actually tell you the name they want. He says one day you'll look at them and a name will just pop into your head and that is supposedly them telling you their name. lol

Have a great day!

Wonderful looking kitty & bless you for bringing him home with you. Names....hmmm. He's a tuxedo cat, so how about some fancy names? JB for James Bond? Fred Astaire?

I agree with Felinae about the cat letting you know what his name will be though.

I have never been all that good at picking pet's names. I like the rocker suggestion, it does look like he has guyliner and a part in his hair. How about Cash for a rock-a-billy feel?

Our black and white cat was called....Black-and-White.

She showed up at our house in the mid-1970s, ate on our front porch, but refused to come in or be picked up. After a few weeks, she suddenly decided to come inside and promptly headed up to our bedroom, made a nest, and had six kittens.

She lived with us for about 16 years. Two of her kittens were ours for about 15 years.

My friend had a black and white cat like yours and named her Misty but seems like it wasnt a female so had to rename him Mister. :) Oreo is a good one too though.

my son loves cats...he had three while living here at home. they all looked alike and could only be distinquished apart by the color or their noses. he named then after the "gremlin" movie cause as babies that is just whaat they looked like..sweet gremlins. he also had some cats that were named after the broadway "cats". dueteromony and grizzabella were the parents of the gremlins. anyway, he now has a cat that he calls "felix" after the cartoon cat felix. he would tell you too that cats will let you know what to call them.

I think naming him after a famous black and white film star makes the most sense. Pick the name that suits the personality.
