Practice What We Preach

Well, it has happened. Hubby has run out of unemployment.(sigh) Now we have to live off of my piddlin' amout of money I make doing people's nails. Hubby has looked for jobs, but there are'nt any good paying jobs open around here. At least not making more than what he was getting on unemployment. (I know, it doesn't make sence) So he kept looking. Now, we have no choice. It's time to"put our nose to the grinde stone" It's time to "tighten our belts",time to "hit the bricks",time to "cut the cheese!"(Okay, maybe not the last one.) You get what I'm talking about. We have always talked about not spending money on frivilous things, but we always had a choice. Now, we don't have a choice.

So wish us luck. We're going to need it.

So until next time,

Small Farm Girl, belt tightener(hey, that's better than cheese cutter. lol)

Best of luck to your husband on his job search. We have a dairy farm but god forbid if we ever had to give that up cause the jobs around here are few and far between( at least ones that would pay the bills). I hope all goes well for you!

Thanks guys. Oh and Catherine, I'm still going to get my goats. Even if I have to sell my body. Hey, I wonder If I could sell it by the pound? I could be rich then. lol

Am sorry to hear about the job situation. My son was without a job for a little over a year and finally found one several months ago. Something would be better than nothing, and he could keep on the lookout for something better.
I know it will be hard. We had to help our son until he found something. I will put him in my prayers to find a good job. Good Luck in his search...debbie

One thing to keep in mind, they say it's always easier to get a job when you have a job. I'm sorry to hear things are getting bad. I'm worried about that on a consistent basis. I will keep you guys in my prayers! Something is bound to come up!

Good thoughts going out to you from us. Not being able to get a job is a tough one, but we will all be rooting for you. Take care. (And no, probably cheese cutting isn't the best choice!!!) :D

Bummer, so sorry to hear that. I pray he finds something soon.

Yup, tighten up the budget, and you may also find some things on the side that he can do to make up some loose ends. I think people who are truly looking can always find something to bring income in, even if it's not what we'd hoped - it can help get you by til something better comes along.

The goats are good - dairy products for you, cheese, you can eat better without spending much more. I'm so glad you will still be getting them!
