Ok, Enough Teasing

Ok, I've given you enough time to ponder what's been going on around here.(Like you don't have anything else to think about.) Anyway, this is our new purchase.

My beautiful, wood cook stove! I'm in love! I've already tried it out. Like a million times!!!! Pizza, biscuits, eggs and bacon. MMMMMMMM! I think I'm hungry again.

Another thing that I've done since I've talked to you all? I've put in my notice at work. That's right folk! I've finally got up the nerve to do it! I'm freaking out here!!!!!!!!! I've done nails for 10 years! This is a big step for me. What am I going to do with myself you ask? Wellllll.......

Me and hubby have went in with a few of our friends to start a small animal and produce auction. I know!!!!! I can't believe it myself! (Ok, it's getting a little out of with the exclamation points. ! I just had to. heheheh) We are working really hard on getting a place ready for small farmers to bring in their small animals (goats, chickens, rabbits) and extra produce to sell at auction. That way, the farmers will always have an outlet to sell their goods. It's going to be a VERY humane auction. The animals will be treated very well as they are at the auction. We are also hoping that bigger grocery stores will come to the auction to get local produce for their stores. The closest auction like this is many hours away. Hopefully ours will take off and really help the local farmers and the local economy.

So as you can tell, I HAVE been busy!

So until next time,

Small Farm Girl, !

What a beautiful stove! I wish we had ours "hooked" up....it's sitting in the basement, all sad & unused until we get the outdoor kitchen finished.

And good luck on your new venture, it sounds like a lot of fun!

i love the new stove...and wish i could find one for myself...your small livestock/produce auctions sound very interesting and i bet you do well with it. and if you dont, you can always "do nails" or any number of things that come to mind. now that you have that wood cookstove, you must give us some recipes and give us the details of the tricks you are learning about using that cookstove.

Wow some real "doins" at the farm huh? Sounds like you are doing some really good cooking on that stove. Might have to move near you just so I can come over to "test" your cooking out LOL.

Very nice stove, I am jealous. I am also jealous on the auction thing. I wished something like that would happen around here.
