Well, as you can see, our corn got hit pretty hard with one of the storms that went through here two days ago. It has already set back up. I am so glad that it takes care of it's self. lol
Ok now, I will tell you all that I know nothing about looms. I would love to LEARN more things about them though. But, Mom and Dad found this at a flea market and thought of me. So, they bought it. Don't you just love them for it? I do. lol. Anyway, I promised pictures of it, so here it is. I am hoping someone out there know something about it. I don't care if it's useless. I love the looks of it. I'll use it for decoration if nothing else.
Don't you just love the inlay? I think it's beautiful!
Well, if anyone knows anything about it, I would appreciate some input.
So until next time,
Small Farm Girl, just wondering.

Our corn got knocked over too.... That loom is beautiful. Sorry I am no help, except to admire from a distance.
Glad your corn righted itself...
Your loom is pretty! I hope you can get it working.. I know nothing about on either but I love them...
How thoughtful of your folks. It's beautiful and unique, but I have no experience with looms. You should ask Lisa over at South View Farm about it, though. She collects looms and works as a professional on looms for her job. Her hand-loomed saddle blankets are gorgeous!
Here's her blog:

I think that your loom is either a tapestry loom or a small rug loom. It is not the kind of loom that is for weaving long pieces of fabric.
I agree with Alison. It sure is pretty though!
Love the loom !!
I know zilch about them...other than Id have that in a big ol' knot in no time ,lol !
Clever corn! As for the loom, looks lovely but Id dont know anything about them. You could try an internet search and see if there are any groups in your area.
COOL! I *think* it's a tapestry loom. I'll send some smarter folks over here to look. Regardless, it's BEAUTIFUL!
Wow some storm! Our poor corn is only knee high and it's mid July, we're a bit behind I'd say*wink*
The loom is beautiful and I agree even if it isn't useful it's beautiful and a wonderful conversation piece.
Blessings for your weekend,
Kelle
ditto on what the others said about not knowing but loving it! what a unique gift and also a unique flea market find!
This looks like a Turkish-style rug loom, generally for cut-pile rugs but perhaps for kilim weaving, too. The inlay is gorgeous - what a great find!
Oh, my...this looks complicated!
