Little Gems

I received a little gem in the mail today. I received a Christmas card. (Thanks Kelle!) When I saw it, it gave me warm, fuzzy feelings inside. Why? I don't really know. Maybe it's the thought that someone thought of me. Maybe it's the thought that someone went out of their way to send me a card. Maybe it's the thought that someone spent money(Come on! It's just a little sticky piece of paper! Not gold!) to send me the card. Whatever the reason, I loved it!!!!

Each year I keep telling myself that I will send out Christmas cards. I've had the same cards for 12 years! They are beautiful! But, somehow, they never get mailed out.  One year it was because I couldn't find them. One year it was because I honestly didn't have the money to buy stamps. One year, I simply forgot. That was until it was too late. This year it is a mixer of  I couldn't find them after the move to our new house and we really didn't have the money for the stamps.

So I have decided that after Hubby has been working for a little bit and all of out bills are actually caught up, I will send out Christmas cards! So don't be surprised if you receive a card with a snowy scene on the cover, in the middle of July. Hey, maybe it will cool you off. lol

So until next time,

Small Farm Girl, happy receiver of Christmas cards.

This is the reason I sign my cards "Happy Holidays" because then they're appropriate for whichever holiday they arrive closest to.

Of course, we went through about 17 years where we didn't send any! Trying to get back into the groove.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS my friend!

In many ways internet has replaced the cards, I think.

Never mind if it's only a piece of paper, it's the thought that counts.

Thanks for stopping by The Farm.

Merry Christmas!

My friend Joe said that the person that use to live at his apt before he did got more christmas cards than him so he started hanging up those cards to.. even though they we're for the other guy.. He said it's kinda akward when someone asks him who the kids are in the picture,, lol

I'm blessed that our card made your day :o)

Every year I cut back my card list and now it seems it's just those who are many miles away and that we don't talk to often enough, but hold them in a special place in our hearts.

Blessings and HUGS,
Kelle

Helloooo,
Heres a good one for ya ... send e cards ... no stamps required.
And hey I am almost in the same frozen boat as you.
We are still looking for a dry wall installer. So in the mean time ... we bought those big blue sheets of insulation. They work great at keeping the heat DOWN, where it needs to be.
We are burning through it fast this year too.
Stay warm and here is my Christmas card.... Merry Merry!
Peace and joy to you and yours!

I used to send out cards every year, but stopped when life got quite a bit more challenging.

I want to begin next year though. I am all about being on a mission in the coming year, to try my best to be ahead of the game, instead of always running to catch up.

Merry Christmas! May you and your DH be blessed!

I used to send out cards every year, but stopped about 3 years ago. I'm still touched by some of the cards we get from friends and family, but some kind of annoy me. Like the cards that have a long list of all the amazing accomplishments their kids did all year. It's like reading a resume for goodness sakes!

I love the idea of receiving a Christmas card in July. How fun that would be!
