Deep heat is the only thing that really provides any relief. <br /><br />I have narrow, deep pot in which I keep paraffin. I slowly melt it at a low temperature and then when it cools to warm enough to not cause a burn, I dip my hands in it up to the lower forearm. I do this repeatedly until I have a thick layer. (I keep the fingers separate to get heat all the way around the joints. <br /><br />Then I put my hands in plastic bags and wrap them in towels and rest for 30 minutes. The heat is very, very deep and extremely soothing.
